Depends what you call ‘a computer’, but I really just have one — my MacBook Pro, which I use at home and at work. Couldn’t be bothered with not having everything on the one machine, and can’t afford to buy anything else anyway!

My previous laptop, a G4 PowerBook, became a home fileserver when its display died. So I suppose you could count that too, although it gets virtually zero usage.

1 WD MyBook World Edition, to be configured as a server

This is after my purge of:
2 Smartphones
1 Spare PC

I think 3 is the key, Desktop, Laptop/Netbook, Server.
Everything else is Virtualization these days :)

I used to have a lot, but now I mainly use 3 devices:

- A desktop computer at work, running ubuntu
- A 12″ Tablet PC running ubuntu too (it’s this one, and it kicks arse: http://shop.winux.fr/catalogue/portables-winux-tablet-pc/3342-winux-tablet-pc-tactile/ )
- An android smartphone

2 macbook laptops, one unused with a warped case :/
1 PVR used daily
1 iMac (OMG SHOOT ME I HATE FREEDOM /sarcasm)
1 OLPC rarely used but still interesting to play with at times
1 N810 that I never use
1 Apple newton – Interesting device to play with, the interaction here is awesome for something from 98
1 HTC Hero – My current *bastard* phone, sorry profanity required I’ve hit a google sign in bug
1 Psion Revo – Old device but it’s pretty awesome

Probably a variety of other devices are hanging around somewhere….

3 computers (my Nokia 6300 is hardly a computer):
- A 12″ laptop that is my primary computer.
- 2 servers, one for general purposes at home and one for my CUDA project (didn’t want to touch the other one).

I have some 5 older computers lying around, but I don’t need them so they are not set up. My two servers will eventually be KVM server hosts so I can run a lot of VM’s.

This iPod Touch
Dell mini 9 netbook
MacBook Pro
Mac Mini for a media center
whitebox server for a DVR / central file storage
old, crappy laptop for a separate DNS server
AppleTV in a bedroom

2 whitebox servers I control at relatives’ for remote DVRs
vitrual Linux box on a real Windows box at a cousin’s house
virtual Linux box at a commercial site
lots of wifi routers & dsl modems that run linux at the relatives’

i think that’s it.

I have nine. Trying to get rid of 4 of them.

3 Portables, unused Asus EeePC 900, unused old iBook and new Thinkpad.
1 Heavily upgraded HP Mediasmart Server 475, running a MS NFS server.
1 Desktop machine.
1 Unused desktop pc.
1 Unused iPod Touch (jailbroken).
1 Android phone.
