		<description>Hrm, that&#039;s nasty, I should check out what my box is doing. Will delete the dupes once I&#039;ve traced it down.

I think I lost one to lightning last year. This one however was due to a bad capacitor, as I just noticed while screwing it open.

Total junk indeed...</description>

In the UK a specific warning is put on almost all telephony connected kit... Something like &quot;Ensure devices are not plugged in or in use during a thunder storm&quot;

Reason for this is half the telephone network goes live when the ground is struck, frying modems and people who are on the phone.</description>
